The master bedroom is located on the northwest side of the house, has a huge walk in closet and was the original owners room. The barn is located at the back of the property and was home to Davis Boatworks, established in 1932. The Daviss built world record holding racing boats out of that barn and also helped other local Manteo boat builders construct boats during World War II for the Navy.
